A light straw‑gold colour with gentle green flecks. Fresh peaches and white stone fruits still lift from the glass, now joined by more developed flinty, struck‑match notes and a settled, yoghurt‑like creaminess that comes with age.
The palate shows ripe peach, yellow nectarine and almond‑meal, with the once‑bright green‑apple acidity now softened into a rounder, smoother line. The creamy weight from well‑judged oak has integrated beautifully, giving length, balance and a calm, mature complexity.
Ten years on, this vintage threads the needle between generosity and restraint with even greater finesse — a testament to our Lenswood site and the Sirocco vines first brought into the Pike & Joyce family in 1998. It now shows the harmony, depth and quiet confidence of a Chardonnay at its peak.
